*** SOMALILAND: MEMO TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY/54A/ 2020***
A senior opposition leader in Somaliland Chairman Faysal Ali warabe of UCID party has
said he went to President Muse Bihi Office to discuss senior member of his
party who was illegally jailed Mr. Mohamoud Ali Suleiman aka Ramah but Colonel
Muse Bihi told him Mr. Ramah is my brother in law i can put in prison whenever
i choose at that point Chairman Faysal told him that is a cheap argument and
it isn't how democracy functions
...suddenly Colonel Bihi throw a bottle of mineral water towards Chairman
Faysal Ali Warabe keep in mind that is the President of Somaliland , also
President Bihi tried to kick Chairman Faysal Ali while shouting where is my
gun...
Mr. Ramah alleged that he was subjected to
intimidation and threats prior to this warrant. He claimed that President
Bihi’s brother Mr. Omar Bihi Abdi a British citizenship holder had threatened
him with a bullet between the eyes. He also told another incident where a
soldier loaded a gun and threatened to kill him.
Mr. Bihi has chosen to walk away from the
democratic arena and says he has transformed his party into a resistance
militia or movement …. Which is unfortunate?
Never before have we grabbed a word like catastrophic to make a political
point. It's like pulling a fire alarm; if you do it, there had better be a
fire. There is a fire and it's raging within our Somaliland. We are convinced
that since Warlord Muse Bihi Abdi became our President, the harm done to our
country is nothing short of catastrophic.
We reject bigoted colonel Muse Bihi Abdi as our
President based on his judgment, temperament and character, all of which point
to a reckless, embarrassing and ultimately dangerous presidency.... We will
like to inform you that he will not hold
any elections don't waste your time therefore we ask the international community kindly to put economic sanctions against Mr.
Bihi , his extended family and the kulmiye party elite who are citizens
of North America and Europe just block
their bank accounts.
