Hannah & Miles

Image
Hannah & Miles  Hannah was getting overwhelmed at the senior walk. It was loud, people were cheering, and even from a distance, her Mom could tell she felt uncomfortable. But before she could move toward her daughter, Miles grabbed her hand. He smiled at his friend and made her feel safe. The same way he did when they were in the 5th grade. Hannah and Miles were in an inclusive classroom together and became good friends. That friendship has stuck over the years. And it means a lot to both of them. So when Miles saw his friend get overwhelmed at graduation, he didn’t think twice. He just reached out and grabbed her hand. Hannah’s mom told me she was brought to tears by his kindness, but it was the most natural thing in the world to Miles. He respects and likes his classmate, she’s one of the crew. And on the biggest day of her life, she felt that. She was included. Inclusion works, and these two amazing kids are proof of it. Congratulations to Hannah and Mile...

So, if you took her money and hurt  her feeling after that, please don’t hesitate to say sorry. But, if words are your enemy, we the people will apologize to her on your behalf, period..! Dear Halimo,  Baby girl, ..I’m sorry I ignored you each time you reached out to me. I’m sorry I shut myself off from you. I’m sorry I took the easy way out instead of facing the problem and talking it out with you. I realize my mistake, and I regret being so difficult for you to deal with. I admit I acted like a coward, but I did so to protect you from more  emotional damage, baby girl, please realize from now on I am not part of  your problems.  Please give me a chance to be out of your mind. Thanking You. Yours, Whizbi
