The refusal of Cornell Muse Bihi Abdi and his regime to provide Suldan Mohamed Muse Unne with medical care constitutes torture.
Suldan Mohamed Muse Unne a Somali traditional
leader and peace activist unjustifiably jailed by cornel Muse Bihi regime is suffering from worsening chronic nerve
disease complications , respiratory
problems and broken arm due to the
persistent refusal of prosecution authorities to allow his hospitalization
outside of Hargeisa C.I.D maximum security central prison even they refused
Medical doctor to visit him in the jail
.
Suldan Mohamed Muse Unne also said he has not been allowed
access to a lawyer or family visits since his arrest. He has not been charged
with any crime .
Suldan Mohamed in very short secret interview
told reporter Safiya Osman based in U.K “I am in a critical condition after
suffering serious injuries during my arrest. My right hand is broken, i have
worsening chronic nerve disease my health is very poor i need urgent medical
attention but jail authorities refused to transfer me to hospital." said
Suldan Mohamed Muse Unne .
Suldan Mohamed Muse Unne isn’t allowed any contact with the
outside world, including his family or lawyers, while he is detained by the
security forces. Only in case where journalist was able to bribe someone inside
or close to the security forces was it possible for outside to obtain
information about his situation.
The refusal of Cornell Muse Bihi Abdi and his regime to provide Suldan Mohamed Muse Unne with medical care constitutes torture if such deprivation is intentional and inflicts “Severe pain or suffering” for such purposes as punishment, coercion or intimidation, obtaining a “confession”, or for any reason based on discrimination of any kind.
